Engr. Dr. A. R. Kamal started his engineering career at the University of Ilorin where he graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering in 1991. He also holds a Masters in Engineering (M.Eng.) Mechanical Engineering in 2001 from the same University. His quest for knowledge spurred him to obtain a PhD in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Ibadan in
2016.


A. R. Kamal is a COREN registered Engineer. He is a member of the following
professional bodies:


 Fellow Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE)
 Fellow Nigerian Institute of Agricultural Engineers, (FNIAE);
 American Society for Agriculture and Biological Engineering (ASABE);
 International Soil Tillage Research Organization (ISTRO); and
 American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).


He joined the civil service (National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization (NCAM)) in 1994 as a Mechanical Engineer and rose to the position of a Director (Engineering) in 2015. He was appointed the Acting Executive Director of the
National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization in October 2022. He was thereafter appointed, the substantive Executive Director/CEO of the Centre on the 19th April 2023.

Engr. Dr. Kamal has excellent and captivating records in both Engineering and Management with over 25years experience. He has contributed in great measure to agricultural mechanization in the country through the development of several agricultural equipment capable of transforming the sector. Some of his salient achievement in agricultural equipment development is the development of a Yam Mound Making Implement, 2-Row Cassava Planter, 3-Row and 4-Row Multi-Seed Planters, 15-Row Rice Seeder, Rice Transplanter, Briquette Making Machine to mention a few.


He is a prolific writer and researcher with many researches and publications to his credit. He has also attended several workshops, conferences and presented several papers both locally and internationally. He is happily married and blessed with Children.

Godson Ohuruogu is a seasoned expert in agribusiness, SME
development, youth entrepreneurship, innovation, climate-smart
agriculture (CSA), market systems, and private sector development.
With over 17 years of experience, he has spearheaded initiatives in
community development, private sector engagement, value chain
analysis, rural development, agro-processing, grantmaking, and
venture capital investments.
As the CEO of TracTrac Mechanization Services Limited, Godson
leads efforts to revolutionize agricultural mechanization in Nigeria
by leveraging technology and innovative financing solutions to
empower smallholder farmers. Before his role at TracTrac, he served
as Managing Partner at Ikore International Development Limited,
where he drove private sector engagement and innovation inagri-tech to foster inclusive market growth and resilient
communities.

Godson also played pivotal roles in high-impact projects, including
the $140M USAID West Africa Trade and Investment Hub (WATIH),
where he managed public-private sector engagement and value
chain competitiveness, and the FCDO’s Propcom-MaiKarfi, where he championed interventions in agricultural inputs, mechanization, ICT4Ag, and climate-smart portfolios. His portfolio extends to
initiatives such as the PIND-Chevron market linkages for SMEs in thenNiger Delta and Nigeria’s Federal Government/World Bank YOUWIN program, overseeing 212 SMEs with a grant portfolio of 900M Naira. A strategic thinker and tech-savvy leader, Godson is adept at designing and managing complex development interventions, ensuring measurable impact. He holds an MBA from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, and
a BSc in Industrial and Production Engineering from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
